February/March 2010
Hello friends! What an unbelievable winter season we are experiencing, all this snow and bitter cold! As a child, I could'nt wait for the snow, I thought it was fun, beautiful, magical. I remember the incredible brightness that comes with a fresh fallen coating and how much fun it was to play in. Now, I find myself dreading the slippery white stuff, fearful I will fall and hurt myself or endanger my carefully wired together spine. No longer do I enjoy the sight my breath makes when I blow into the cold air. And I seem to notice how dirty and gray all the large piles of snow and ice piled high on the sides of the roads and in parking lots look. Upon reflection, I would like to see life through the "snow eyes" of the child I once was. I wish the dirty piles of unplesant times piled along my thoughts and memories would look more like fresh, clean experiences that I encountered and that I was proud of each one. Good or bad, life is always going to snow down on us, sometimes we will get a dusting and at other times, we will be buried. I pray you choose to see the future snowstorms of your life as a beautiful fresh opportunity to make the best of any situation and the wisdom to know when to plow your way out, or to simply sit back and find the beauty in the scenery. Try not to throw snowballs, but rather, build a snowman.
I invite you to visit our website to see a list of our upcoming performances and hear our music. As always, I encourage you to stay in touch, share your thoughts, ideas and prayer concerns with us. We can't help each other through prayer if we don't know the needs, but we are always, always at your disposal to pray for you!
Striving to be noteworthy,
